Israel and UNRWA trade accusations over ongoing famine in Gaza after UN aid centre is struck

On the ongoing famine in Gaza, Israel has stated that it has brought 950 trucks into Gaza and is accusing the UN of refusing to take delivery of the aid and distribute it to Palestinians. In a video published by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, some of the aid was seen lying on the ground in a parking lot.

Meanwhile UNRWA is still accusing Israel of depriving Gaza of food. UNRWA is stating that the previous aid distribution system which worked during the ceasefire has broken down and its aid workers are starving. UNRWA has aid-delivery workers inside Gaza.

Both of these statements were made after UNOPS reported that its headquarters in Deir al-Balah was truck and the power and water lines are no longer functional.ย  UNOPS coordinates the procurement and delivery of aid and was actively distributing fuel supplies in “extremely difficult circumstances”. A UNOPS aid worker was killed in Gaza earlier this year, and is only one of the many aid workers killed by the IDF.

The video below was published by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
