President Trump says he will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank

In a surprising statement made to the press yesterday evening at the White House, President Trump said that he will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. President Trump’s statement comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that there will be no Palestinian State west of the Jordan river and that illegal settlements in the West Bank will continue to increase.

Netanyahu made the statement following the announcements at the United Nations General Assembly of more than 150 countries recognising the state of Palestine including Malta. The Israeli press is stating that President Trump’s plan for Gaza includes a new and temporary administration run by Tony Blair.

Israel is currently stepping up its military operations in the West Bank conducting mass arrests and entering several Palestinians towns and cities. The crossing from the West Bank to Jordan has also been closed.  Yesterday, a gunfight between the IDF and Hamas’ Al-Quds Brigades in the town of  Tammoun was also reported with head of the brigade killed in action.

Meanwhile, in Gaza, Israel is continuing with its ethnic cleansing operation in Gaza City, bombing and demolishing structures and supposedly fighting Hamas, with dozens of civilians being killed every day.
