The Malta-based Eurotrader is selling oil in Brazil after buying it from Saint Petersburg, Russia

One of the ships in the list of the Maltese-flagged ships that are trading in Russian oil is the Eurosailor IMO 9895915 and this ship is owned by the company Maruska Shipping that is registered in Malta. The Maltese based-company is owned by Robinson Consultants Limited which is registered in the Marshall Islands along with another company called Mazarin Investments Company, which is also registered in the Marshall Islands.

The current directors of the company are Greek and they are Vasileios Kasimatis, Gavril Haldezos and Armodios Stefanos Tsonakis. They are also directors of another Malta-based company called EM Bulkers Limited which owns the Eurotrader IMO 989592. The Eurotrader is currently in the process of selling oil in Brazil after having purchased it from Saint Petersburg in Russia. EM Bulkers is owned by Varda Finance Limited and Mazarin Investments Corporation – both registered in the Marshall Islands.

Another interesting fact is that the Maltese shipper John Gauci A Maistre was also a director of Maruska Shipping but he is no longer listed as such.

It’s pretty bold of these Greeks to keep persisting in trading in Russian oil despite the renewed push to institute new sanctions on Russia and cut off completely the Russian oil trade in Europe. Like the Martinos family, the Greeks owning these ships are using Malta for their dirty Russian oil trade.
