An unusual reluctance to associate with Russian oil trading

Various letters received by The Maltese Herald from Greek lawyers show a very unusual and worried reluctance to have any association with Russian oil trading although all of the facts stated with regard to various Greek companies involved in the Russian oil trade are correct. These include the stories about the ship Eurotrader owned by Greek shippers with a Maltese company called Maruska Shipping and also the Martinos family of Minerva Shipping.

Maruska Shipping is ultimately owned by a company in the Marshall ISlands called Mazzarin Investments.

Documents at the Maltese business registry show that John Gauci Maistre resigned his directorship from Maruska Shipping in 2021, but refused to provide any comments to this website about his past involvement with the company. You can download the document here.

Meanwhile, the Maltese-flagged Eurochampion, is now marked to be heading to Aliaga in Turkey after having failed to load oil cargo from the Russian port of Primorsk.
