Yesterday, ONE News kept degenerating even further with even sillier propaganda by launching an attack on the President of the Ramblers Association, Ingram Bondin. They attacked him because he gave a speech at the vigil commemorating the eight year of the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, but harped on Ingram Bondin’s calls for environmental protestors to gather in front of parliament on Budget Day on October 27th. They wrongly described him as a “Repubblika activist”.
Ingram Bondin is currently one of the protest leaders leading the opposition against government’s proposed planning and construction bills. However, that ONE wrongfully describes Ingram Bondin as a “Repubbliak activist” by simple visual association is not only a sign of the simplistic way that the Labour Party propaganda machines lies. This is also a sign of the disastrously political state of the Labour Party right now which has become Malta’s official populist and conservative party and has nothing Labour-like left except for increasing pensions every year.
Ingram Bondin is a socialist and a Labourite with a working-class background and the Labour Party is literally attacking their own people. This phenomenon is not new. Joseph Muscat filled the Labour Party with crooks and mercenaries and the Labour Party of today is composed of people who are not Labourites in any tradition or form, yet are engaged in attacking actual Labourites on a daily basis.
Coincidentally, Ingram Bondin is one of the most highly intelligent people in Malta that I personally know, and it is genuinely surprising to me why he keeps up with all of this. If Labour had any sense they would have made great efforts to bring people like Ingram Bondin under their fold, but Labour has made this impossible for people like Bondin as it keeps degenerating into a criminal-like mob.
