UN Security Council approves President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza

The United Nations Security Council has approved the US draft resolution, essentially, a follow up of President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza. The plan conditions the Israeli Defense Forces to withdraw from Gaza as soon as Hamas disarms and the International Stabilization Forces enters Gaza.

13 members of the UNSC voted in favour while Russia and China abstained.

Hamas said that it will accept handing over power to the Palestinian Authority but it has not disarmed yet. The IDF are supposed to withdraw from Gaza when Hamas disarms according to the current Peace Plan.
