Normal service seems to have been resumed with a new electoral survey showing the Partit Laburista ahead by between 24,000 and 28,000 votes. The poll was conducted by statistician Prof Vincent Marmara follows a Malta Today survey that showed the PL ahead by just 7400 votes last Sunday.
November 2025 Survey: Political Party Results
The survey, conducted between 13 and 20 November 2025 by telephone and mobile interviews, sampled 1,200 respondents aged 16 and over. The sample carries a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of ยฑ2.8%. It was calibrated to reflect Maltaโs demographic profile as well as voting behaviour in the 2022 general election to ensure maximum accuracy. For non-respondents, the Multiple Imputation method was used.
When asked how they would vote if a general election were held tomorrow, respondents indicated the following preferences:
PL 45.5%, PN 38.0%, ADPD 1.7%, other parties 2.0%, while 12.7% remained undecided.
After applying the scientific model to account for non-response, the projected final results are:
PL 52.3%, PN 43.5%, ADPD 2.0%, others 2.2%.
Due to the size of the undecided group, various scenarios show the potential gap between the two major parties ranging from 8% to 10%.
Assuming valid votes amount to 83%, and following several modelling scenarios for undecided voters, the estimated vote difference lies between 24,000 and 28,000 votes.
