All flights to Venezuela have been cancelled as airstrikes are expected

Turkish Airlines is one of the last air-passenger transport companies that has cancelled all of its flights to Venezuela following a warning by the US Federal Aviation Administration. The US is currently conducting military operations in the Caribbean Sea against drug-traffickers suspected of travelling to the United States. These military operations are forecasted to extended to the Venezuelan territory against military sites of the government.

Apart from fighting drug-traffickers and drug cartels which the US administration has designated as terrorist organisations, the US is also pressuring on Nicolรกs Maduro to resign. He is wanted by the FBI over drug trafficking charges. The Venezuelan Opposition, including by Opposition Leader Marรญa Corina Machado.

President Trump is currently pressuring Ukraine to capitulate but this pressure is expected to wane off this week as President Trump turns his sights on Venezuela.
