Iranian city of Abdanan falls to protestors: up to 36 protestors killed so far

The Kurdish-majority city of Abdanan in western Iran is being reported to have fallen to protestors with several reports stating that the police in the city have joined protestors. The governor’s office has also been reportedly ransacked.

Protests in Iran have turned into wide-scale riots after police repression against protestors that eft up to 36 protestors dead. There have also been up to 2,000 arrests.

Iranian Police Chief Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Radan apparead shaken on Iranian TV and said rioters will be arrested. There are growing doubts whether the Iranian regime has control of the country.

Footage below shows people in Abdanan chanting death to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Other footage is of an incident at the Grand Bazaar in Tehran.ย
