Up to 25 mosques set on fire in Tehran alone: protests in Iran ongoing

At least up to 25 mosques have been set on fire in Tehran alone as mass protests and riots are ongoing in Iran against the Islamic regime. Mosques in other cities were also set on fire.  Banks and government buildings in the capital city have also been set on fire.

Many banking services in Tehran are currently offline after a major bank-run on deposits by the banks’ clients. Up to 40 people have been killed by the regime forces since the protests have started at the turn of the year but a number of regime officers have also been killed in retaliation.

The images of mosques burning are unprecedent in the Islamic Republic where the Islamic Regime holds a tight grip on the country with censorship and repression.

The European Parliament President Roberta Metsola kept expressing words of solidarity with Iranian protestors after she was condemned by the Iranian diplomats in Europe.

Footage below is of Al-Rasool mosque in Tehran.

Note, the image of the Iranian woman burning a picture of Supreme Leader Khamenei was taken in Canada and not in Iran.
