According to the latest NSO statistics, the retail price index for February came at 2.5% confirming other readings that inflation for February remained flat. The reading also confirms that inflation remained flat due to a reduction of prices in several items including in clothing as food kept going higher.
The inflation reading for March is expected to go higher due to the inflationary pressures of the war in Iran. Inflationary risks in Malta persist.
