Strait of Hormuz gradually being re-opened

The Strait of Hormuz is gradually being re-opened by the US Navy as it demines the Strait and allows some selected ships to pass through. Other ships, namely headed to China, avoided the US blockade altogether and passed through but some other ships that tried to enter the Strait were also turned back.

The US Navy is currently engage in an operation to secure the Omani side of the Strait while blockading the Iranian side. More naval assets are also being deployed in the Persian Gulf including the USS George W. Bush making it the third aircraft carrier in the region along with the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Gerard R. Ford. So far, the US Naval operations have not made resistance by Iran as the ceasefire holds despite a lack of talks.

Yesterday, President Donald Trump said that up to 34 vessels passed through the Strait but more ships passed today.
