In defence of fraud and animal cruelty

Calling out fraud and corruption by Labour Party politicians is punishable by mob violence in Malta — literally. It has been like this for some time under the Labour Party, but it is only becoming more intense and violent as time passes. The riling up of illiterate Labour Party supporters is also being carried out by government-funded media and press outlets like Talk News, the media and propaganda outlet of the General Workers’ Union.

Obviously, truth does not matter and it is neither important for the pro-Labour propaganda press. So this is why Talk News quoted Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando in maliciously saying that I “brutally attacked Alicia Bugeja Said for no reason”. Jeffrey Pullicino Orland is a previous PN MP who has promoted himself as full-time pro-Labour Party troll on Facebook.

Alicia Bugeja Said’s ministerial title includes “Animal Rights”, yet her position and actions directly conflict with that title, making her a complete fraud and turning her ministry into a mockery. Alicia Bugeja Said legalised the keeping and trading of wild animals in Malta. Her actions and policies have resulted into widespread animal maltreatment and even widespread outright abuse. She herself has provided impunity and immunity to literal criminals who illegally kept wild animals in horrible conditions. You can watch an example here.

She is widely disliked and even hated in the animal community but very few have the courage to say this to her face given the authoritarian climate in the country. The maltreatment and abuse of animals in Malta, even of dogs and cats, who under her term were dumped in the streets in record numbers, has soared under her watch.

She is supported by hunters, funded by the tuna lobby and is provided with a whole media ecosystem that justifies her actions and behaviour. Recently, she defended hunters, who publicly mocked environmental rangers during Labour Party celebrations with the excuse of free speech. Effectively, she is empowering hunters to keep violently intimating environmental rangers. Like other Labour Party politicians, she also makes use of public funds to promote herself.

Alicia Bugeja Said is the textbook example of a parasite and a fraud in politics. Amoral, opportunistic, and abusing of good causes for personal and professional interest. She also has a reputation of total ignorance that goes back to her days in University.

Calling out politicians for their horrible practices and character is literally dangerous in Malta. It’s like we are in the feudal era where our leaders can only be treated with reverence.
