Son of slain journalist describes Yorgen Fenech’s verdict as “pure evil”

The son of slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, Matthew, described the jurors’ verdict acquitting Yorgen Fenech as obscene and pure evil.

He said that their decision goes contrary to the evidence presented in Court and to all logic. His mother was killed yet again by the verdict, he asserted.

Daphne’s family also released an official statement which can be read here.

Matthew spent endless hours working on the case, aiding the investigators, sitting for police questioning, and following the whole case from start to finish.

I also sincerely hope that he is being provided with the necessary police protection while they consistently monitor any potential risks.

    Pure fuckin cowardness and stupidity that what the juries were!! Qatta kotardi w stupidi! Bezghu li jigi yorgen ghalihom u jew ma fehmu xejn bl istupitagni ta dal poplu stupidu!!

    The jurors had a duty to acquit Yorgen Fenech if they had any reasonable doubt as to his guilt and lets be honest, there was indeed a degree of reasonable doubt that he was guilty of the two charges he was facing.

    That he was involved yes I believe he was. But so were many others. In fact I would not rule out that Fenech along with Keith Schembri may face charges of divulging State secrets.

      There was ample evidence against him in his involvement as an accomplice! There were no doubts in this regard.
