China surrounds Taiwan with 66 aircraft and a carrier strike group

As of yesterday, China has surrounded Taiwan with the Shandong carrier strike group that has navigating along Tiawanese waters including 66 different fighter jets that entered Tiawanese air-space. The Chinese jets were as close to Tiawan as far as 33 nautical miles. This exercise comes after another exercise where China surrounded Taiwan with 40 fghter jets in an operation called “JointSword24a”.

This is a record air incursion by China this year into Tiawan in an ever growing and aggressive grey-zone tactics used against Taiwan by China. China is also simulating a land invasion of Taiwan and Xi Jinping is saying that the “reunification” with China and Tiawan is inevitable.
