I finally have the time to go through at length the speeches given by the Labour delegates at the Annual General Conference. Most of it is just posturing, outright fascism, lies, and virtue-signaling with nothing of substance.
However, there was one comment that contrasted with everything else.
The newly elected Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg has positioned himself in support of the judiciary, stating that it should be respected, remain independent, and not be interfered with.
His position contrasts with Robert Abela’s party line as of last April when when he accused the judiciary of “political terrorism”.
As I wrote in the previous article, even though Ian Borg has become Deputy Prime Minister, it doesn’t mean he has any authority to change the direction the Labour Party is taking. Joseph Muscat is now even more influential in Labour than he was before the European Parliament elections.
