Russia keeps launching up to 500 drones and missiles every day against Ukrainian cities

Russia has launched another round of up to 500 Shahed drones and missiles on Ukrainian cities earlier today for the third consecutive time this week. A maternity hospital was hit in Odessa earlier today and fires spread in the city of Kyiv as drones hit multiple civilian areas.

Russian attacks with the Iranian-produced Shahed drones are becoming more frequent and these drones are mainly being used to target civilians, apartment building and civilian infrastructure including schools and hospitals. At least a dozen of civilians have been killed since attacks escalated last week and hundreds more injured and missing.

Russia is also reportedly using double-tapping bombing methods against civilian targets, where a civilian target is bombed for the second time when rescuers arrive on site with occurrences in Kharkiv late last week.

US President Donald Trump has withheld a weapons purchase of anti-drone missiles to Ukraine which is now being re-directed to another client in the Near East, possibly the United Arab Emirates. Europe remains the biggest anti-air defence supplier for Ukraine but Israel has also recently transferred a Patriot battery to Ukraine.
