Ex-US Green Beret says he witnessed war crimes while working for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation

In an exclusive interview with the BBC, a US ex-Green Beret servicemember, Anthony Aguilar,  who worked with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation says that he saw his colleagues and the IDF shooting at unarmed Palestinians. He also recounts an instance when he saw the IDF fire a shell unto unarmed civilians. His story tallies with the one that was published in Haaretz. As of the beginning of July, up to 550 Palestinians were killed trying to reach food at sites run by the GHF, but the death toll has increased since then.

Gaza is under the grip of famine brought by an Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid and a total breakdown of the humanitarian aid system inside Gaza.

Israel destroyed Gaza’s infrastructure, killed humanitarian aid workers, banned UNRWA, and blockaded aid, before suddenly accusing the UN of refusing to deliver aid in propaganda videos filmed next to pallets of humanitarian supplies left on the ground in a parking lot just inside the Gaza border.

Britain is currently planning a humanitarian air-drop with the Jordanian authorities.
