Jennifer Tabone resigns from the women’s committee of the Labour Party

Jennifer Tabone has resigned from her post as Executive Secretary of Nisa Laburisti, the Labour Party’s women’s committee. She was recently attacked by the Labour troll Neville Gafa over Nisa Laburisti’s opposition to Malta’s nomination of President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. However, she did not resign over this issue.

Jennifer Tabone is an old-time Labour Party socialist who has been internally critical of government corruption under successive Labour Party administrations and also opposed the party’s appeasement to the construction lobby. She is not public about her views and has consistently reserved her critcism about the Party in internal fora.

She did not provide a reason for her resignation.

This story is precisely why I am happy to subscribe to The Malta Herald. Nowhere else provides so many articles that give an insight into the workings of the Labour machine. Please keep them coming!

Incidentally, it’s good to know there are still some decent, honest and principled socialists in Malta. Thank you, Jennifer Tabone.
