Malta’s Deputy-Prime Minister nominates President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize

In a message posted on social media earlier today, Mata’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ian Borg announced that he has nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. The Foreign Minister said that he had presented this nomination when he was at the United Nations General Assembly, and also encouraged the US President to increase his peace efforts in the Near East.

The Foreign Minister said that he had presented the nomination for President Trump’s efforts to broker a peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan but said that he is happy that President Trump’s efforts have led to more peace. Hamas and Israel have just signed President Trump’s proposed peace deal for Gaza.

President Trump has regularly insisted to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for ending up to six conflicts. Others who nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize include Pakistan and Israel.

Earlier today, both the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister hailed President Trump’s efforts over his Gaza peace deal with the Prime Minister also stating that the recognition of the State of Palestine sends a timely message that everyone deserves to live in peace and prosperity.
