President Trump announces license to Ukraine to produce Patriot missiles: MOU with Iran cancelled

At the NATO Summit in Ankara today, US President Donald Trump announced that he will be providing a license to Ukraine to produce Patriots missiles domestically. Ukraine has requested permission to manufacture Patriot missiles domestically to supply its air defences for use against Russian ballistic missile attacks on cities and civilians.

Russia has launched ballistic missiles at Ukraine as of earlier today. The city of Odessa was hit and multiple civilians have been injured.

President Trump said that the news has not been announced to the manufacturing company yet, but will be communicated to it officially later. The missiles are produced by Lockheed Martin with some components produced by RTX Corporation (formerly Raytheon).

On Iran, President Trump said that MOU signed with Iran it is now cancelled and accused the Iranian negotiating team of lying and being unreliable. Yesterday, the US has renewed its airstrikes against Iran. Oil is pushing higher on the news with WTI going up to $74 and higher (WTI) as of writing. US strikes targeted Iranian military installations in the Persian Gulf while Iran responded by firing missiles and drones at US military installations in Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE.
