All evidence is indicating that President Donald Trump has thrown a lifeline at Russia just right before its frontlines in the Ukrainian cities of Pokrovsk and Toretsk began to collapse.
The ongoing collapse of the Russian Army is the result of various factors, including the economic crisis in Russia, but the Ukrainians have killed most of the Russian professional soldiers and the Russian Army is now mostly fighting with civilian men who are contracted to fight for relatively, significant sums of payment. More than 1000 Russians are killed every day by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russia is so short of soldiers it is sending wounded soldiers to the kill and is also using donkeys and horses to transport military equipment to the frontline.
As of late this week, the Russian frontlines in Pokrovsk and Toretsk have begun to collapse with the Ukrainians making significant advances. This remarkable progress has come just right after President Donald Trump threw a lifeline at Russia by suggesting that Russia could receive sanction relief. Various major banks in the US are now facilitating the purchases of Russian assets inducing a new wave of US capital flowing into Russia which will undoubtedly help Russia’s war effort.
Following the halt of US military aid to Ukraine, which mostly consisted of anti-air defenses meant to protect cities and civilians, Russia heavily bombed cities and infrastructure again with missiles and drones. President Trump said that Russia will be issued with new banking sanctions if these attacks continued. These attacks have continued today, and at least five Ukrainian civilians were killed as a result of Russian airstrikes.
President Trump also halted intelligence sharing with Ukraine as a result halting many satellite-imaging services. However, France has stepped in and is now providing intelligence to the Ukrainians. Most of this intelligence work is used for defensive operations especially against Russian missiles and drones that target cities.
