Christian Borg gets a permit for a monkey and free Police security for his abandoned lions

The Maltese Herald can confirm that Christian Borg has built his menagerie to house a monkey, and a permit for the animal has been approved by the Director of Animal Welfare Services. Borg is being allowed to keep a monkey despite having previously abandoned up to four lions at a farmhouse in Naxxar.

Animal rights activists, who have protested the authorities’ failure to relocate the lions to a foreign sanctuary, recently revealed that the site where the lions are being kept is guarded around the clock by the police with the government covering the cost of their presence.

Christian Borg enjoys widespread impunity as a previous business-partner and client of Prime Minister Robert Abela. He is an ex-drug dealer turned car-rental salesman. He is also set to appear in front of the Parliamentary Privileges Committee soon. Recently, he may also have been posting anonymously on Instagram.
