Nigel Scerri has been arraigned in Court with his wife over money-laundering

Yesterday evening, I was informed that last Thursday, Nigel Scerri has been arraigned in Court with his wife Mikaela Scerri over money-laundering. The case, which has just been started, was deferred. His lawyer is Joe Giglio.

When Nigel Scerri called me up about my story over his purchase of George Borg Olivier’s villa in Sliema, he never mentioned that he was being investigated by the Police. Nigel Scerri was the Chief Financial Officer of Dizz Group, a company owned by Diane Izzo and her husband who are close to ex-Premier Joseph Muscat and his wife. However, Nigel Scerri is also being suspected of acting as a laundromat for Joseph Muscat – he denies this allegation.

His wealth ballooned exponentially as of 2013 and made at least up to €9 million in property purchases since 2021.

This is an ongoing investigation by The Maltese Herald.

    Dort Giglio do you realise that defending “political” crimes conflicts with your public duties as a member of parliament and harms, in no small manner, the credibility of the Party on which ticket you ran to be elected?

      The Scerries can pay huge monies to be defended in court.They choose top criminal and well known lawyers.Even lawyers who are politicians who are.in opposition
      If elected he will be minister of justice and has to hand over the case.So a bad shock for yhe Scerries.
