Israeli society is collectively enraged with the latest gruesome show by Hamas parading the dead bodies of the Bibas family before they handed them over to the Red Cross as part of the ongoing ceasefire process. Following the return of the bodies it was found out that the body of the mother, Shiri Bibas, was missing, and Hamas sent the body of another woman instead.
Hamas is humiliating hostages in public before handing them over to Israel, and these acts, which also constitute a war crime, have dented any remaining hopes for a long-lasting peace after the exchange of Israeli hostages with Palestinian prisoners is completed.
The Bibas family included the 34 year-old father Yarden Bibas, 32 year old-mother Shiri Bibas, their 4 year-old child Ariel, and their 9 month year-old baby, Kfir. Yarden Bibas, seen here with the red and blue tracksuit, was released separately on February 1st. The bodies of his wife and children were supposed to have been returned yesterday, but only the bodies of his children were returned. The Bibas family was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th.
Meanwhile, thee empty buses exploded in a parking lot in Tel Aviv in an apparent terrorist attack. No one was killed in the attack.
Israel is currently displacing Palestinians in the West Bank under the pretext of operations against terrorist groups but has made it clear that it intends to annex the territory.
Yesterday, the Israel Defense Forces dropped leaflets all over Gaza telling the people of Gaza to leave Gaza altogether or risk getting killed.
