Robert Aquilina who was criminally charged by the Police over vexatious accusations of domestic violence, will be returning to Fondazione Falcone as Malta’s representative. A smear campaign against him by Labour Party sources and MaltaToday depicting Robert Aquilina as a wife-beater.
A Magistrate also ordered an investigation into the leaks of the case.
Fondazione Falcone opened a centre in Malta last year to promote its work on the rule of law internationally. Robert Aquilina resigned from his role in the foundation after his case was filed.
Robert Aquilina is a leading dissident in Malta and is currently facing other vexatious cases against him, including a sham investigation over the Pilatus Bank investigation leaks.
