It was a very intensive year with many stories and investigations. This website had more than 1.3 million unique visitors for 2024 and more than 10 million page views. Most of the readers are from Malta (75%) with the top foreign readership coming from the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States of America, Belgium and Germany.
These were the most read stories for 2024.
1) Joseph Muscat’s Trip to Barbados. In Summer, Joseph and Michelle Muscat paid a holiday trip for their friends to Barbados. We also compiled a list of the guests that were present.
2) The second most-read story was when we revealed the Hamrun police attackers. We do a lot of revelations of this type.
3) The third most read story was the revelation of the hidden ownership of Saviour Balzan’s media companies. He was also bailed-out twice by the Labour government.
4) Our story about the negotiations with the Malta Union of Teachers and the Ministry of Education was the fourth most popular story.
5) Our investigation on Destination Europe (Delsk) was our most read investigation. We have conducted an extensive investigation on the activities of Delsk Group in Malta who are established in Malta thanks to Joseph Muscat who still works for them. Delsk, through their company in Malta, Destination Europe, are brokering the residence permits of Chinese nationals. Many of these Chinese nationals rent fake-rentals in Malta and use their permit to live in another European country.
6) Our brief interview with Joseph Portelli who launched a diatribe of insults after being asked about Montenegro garnered a lot of interest.
7) Our news item on Sednaya Prison was the most read item from the international news section. We also predicted the Syrian offensive that brought the fall of Bashar al-Assad.
8) Following the list of top local stories, there is the story about Bernard Attard being the cousin of the one of Maskar brothers.
9) Then there was the story of the psychiatrist who has two ongoing cases of domestic violence.
10) We were the only local news media outlet to write a deep history of the Prime Minister’s financial activity. This was one of the most read investigations.
11) Our revelation and story that Reuben Farrugia met with Yorgen Fenech in prison was in the top ten of the locally read stories. We had also made an investigation on Svetlana Muscat, prior to the incident.
12) Our investigations on Andrew Tate’s criminal activities in the crypto world is one of our ongoing investigations that has garnered significant interest abroad.
