President Zelensky refused to sign a deal handing over 50% of Ukraine’s mineral resources to the United States

Ukrainian media have revealed that during the Munich Security Conference, US diplomats blackmailed Ukraine’s President Volodymyr telling him that a meeting with Vice-President JD Vance would not go ahead unless Ukraine signed a deal handing over 50% of its mineral resources to the United States in exchange for aid. President Zelensky refused to sign the deal and the meeting with Vice-President Vance took place anyway.

Following the end of the Munich Security Conference, President Zelensky also spoke to the Ukrainian media in the Ukrainian language and said that Ukraine won’t be part of ongoing “peace talks” between the United States and Russia. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is currently in Saudi Arabia and will be meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Ukraine is not giving priority to this meeting and President Zelensly is currently in Ankara, Turkey where he will meet President Erdogan later today.

Effectively, President Zelensky removed any pretenses the Trump Administration may have had to speak on behalf of Ukraine, prompting the USย  to instead focus its discussions with Russia on lifting sanctions and trade.
