Israel receives its first batch of US-made heavy-bombs since ban by the Biden Administration

Israel has received the first batch US-made heavy bombs since their export to Israel was banned by the Biden Administration early last year. President Donald Trump pledged in his election campaign to remove arms export barriers to Israel instituted by President Joe Biden following its massacre in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ex-Defense Minister Yoav Gallant are wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court.

A bill from the US Congress sanctioning the ICC was also passed last month and President Trump also lifted sanctions on illegal Israeli settlers which were imposed by the Biden Administration.

Israel intends to annex the West Bank and President Trump wants to displace Palestinians from Gaza into neighbouring Arab countries, but so far the plan is being opposed by Saudi Arabia and there’s no indication it will go ahead. Hamas released three Israeli hostages against 369 Palestinian prisoners last Saturday despite President Trump’s threats to release all the hostages immediately.
