Muammar Ibrahim has appeared in a video released by the Rapid Support Forces, in which an RSF official is seen demeaning the journalist and accusing him of lacking neutrality. International calls are being made for his immediate release.
Another 12 journalists in Al-Fashir remain unaccounted for. At least three female journalists have been raped.
Most civilians in Al-Fashir remain unaccounted for and a UN spokesperson said that they are being disallowed to leave by the RSF. The RSF are already looting Al-Fashir and selling stolen items in the city of Nyala.
The US President’s Senior Advisor on Arab Affairs and Africa is in Cairo and announced that the RSF and the Sudanese Armed Forces have agreed to a preliminary deal over a three month ceasefire. Other sources said that the SAF has not yet accepted any ceasefire deal with the RSF and vows to fight on. There is still no official announcement.
Meanwhile, Abu Lulu uploaded a video of himself hanging around with one of his soldiers after the RSF staged his arrest for a propaganda video. RSF leader, Hemedti, tried to persuade his foreign listeners that RSF does not target civilians after international outcry spread about the blatantly publicised genocidal massacre that the RSF committed in Al-Fashir.
Earlier today the RSF launched a drone against a civilian gathering in the North Kordofan region killing ten people. Other RSF attacks were reported in Kornoi.
